About Me
Posted by Richard at August 30th, 2007
Richard Ruane is an instructional designer who recently escaped the clutches of the for-profit education world (and Chicago) to work with the nice folks at a major university campus back on the east coast. He does miss Vosges Black Pearl bars and Intelligentsia’s Black Cat Espresso, though.
Originally from Dallas, TX, Richard’s previously worked in educational publishing in New York City, taught at community colleges in Dallas and Atlanta, did freelance work for White Wolf Game Studios (though not on any digital games), and wrote for a Web comic series that originally ran at Popimage.com. Professionally, he gets around.
He’s not now, nor has he ever been, a folk singer, though he might silently judge you if you’ve never heard of Fairport Convention. He does love Pandora, and you can see what he’s listening to there on his profile.

You can find Vosges Black Pearl Bars at a shop in Hampden that sells–I swear–shoes and chocolate.

Just an example of your typical Bawlmer weirdness!
